ROME (ITALPRESS) – The Italians Marco Danti and Simone Piccinin stopped one step away from the top step of the Italian Junior podium, defeated by the Thai duo who thus contributed to the hat-trick with the Asian nation which left its mark in all three doubles finals. Danti and Piccinin, who won the silver, after a more difficult first set took to the court with a different attitude and in the second set, even leading by three points, they gave their opponents Sittisak Nadee and Chayapat Piboon a hard time who won with the advantages (21-10; 24-22) and with a thriller point in the final which saw the tape as the protagonist. In the mixed doubles, the Thai derby saw the victory of Pannawat Jamtubtim and Naphachanok Utsanon who defeated their compatriots Attawut Sreepeaw and Sabrina Sophita Wedler in two sets (21-15; 21-13). In the women’s doubles, victory for Naphachanok and Sabrina Sophita Wedler who triumphed in two sets (21-7; 21-10) over the Swiss Gaelle Fux and Anic Metzger. The singles titles were also Asian with the Indian Raksha Kandasamy overcoming her compatriot Ananya Agrawal (21-14; 21-12) and the Emirati Bharath Latheesh who prevailed in three hard-fought sets (21-12; 19- 21; 23-21) the Dutch Adith Kathikeyan Priya.
