GALLNEUKIRCHEN/BISHOFSHOFEN. SV Gallneukirchen started the new judo year with two silver medals at the Austrian U18 and U23 championships, which took place in Bischofshofen (Salzburg) at the end of January. Nina Seyr and Leon Tschilikin from Mühlviertel can be particularly happy.

Nina Seyr (U18: up to 44kg) and Leon Tschilikin (U23: up to 81kg) were rewarded with top performances with runner-up titles. Nina Seyr won all of her fights and only lost to the favorite Nina Auer (JV Premstätten). Leon Tschilikin narrowly missed out on gold in the final after taking the lead for a while.
Overall, SVG achieved 15th place out of 41 clubs in the Austrian club rankings. “These successes make me very confident for this year,” says head coach Walter Hanl.
