Regional championship. Alicante
On February 3, the Autonomous Judo Championship was held at the Alicante Technical Center for the children, cadet and junior categories, in which the Municipal Judo School and the Judo Club Torrevieja participated with a representative in each category led by Pedro Abad.
The day began with the cadet category in which Ilias Safi of –66kg participated, who after falling in the first round had no option for a repechage, followed by the children’s category in which Blanka Ekes of +63kg won a well-deserved bronze medal after three very close matches. combats in which he was able to obtain the metal. In the afternoon the day ended with the junior category in which Fernando García from Judo Club Torrevieja obtained fifth place in a group of very high quality in which each fight was a final.

We take this opportunity to congratulate our athletes for their great work and we encourage more to join and participate in the competitions and we remember that the doors of the Club are always open to any child or adult who is interested in practicing Judo.
