The Scandone Avellino is fresh from the defeat against White Wise Monopoli (88-82) and on Saturday (8pm) the green and whites will host Sveva Pallacanestro Lucera in the match valid for the penultimate round of group G of the Interregional Serie B. The first phase of the championship is now nearing its conclusion and after 20 matches Scandone has achieved 11 victories with 9 defeats. In the post-match in Monopoli the coach of the Irpinia team, Nino Sanfilippounderlined his disappointment for the match direction: “Congratulations to Monopoli who played an excellent offensive match, my boys were very good and tried to keep up until the end. This time I’m talking about the referees, I felt caught in round by the commissioner and the match directors themselves – explained the Scandone coach at the end of the match played in Puglia – We have never seen a coach expelled after complimenting an opponent.
