The U19s of football champions Salzburg will face FC Nantes at home in the round of 16 of the UEFA Youth League. The game will be played on February 27th or 28th at the Red Bull Academy, the Salzburg team announced on Friday evening. According to the draw, the “Young Bulls” would also have home advantage in a possible quarter-final. Opponent would be on the 12th/13th. March the winner of the duel between FC Copenhagen and MSK Zilina from Slovakia.
The final tournament of the European Youth Cup will take place in Nyon from April 19th to 22nd. Salzburg were last represented there in 2022, when they only failed in the final against Benfica Lisbon. Salzburg won the competition in 2017, and last year they ended up in the round of 16 against Real Madrid.
