Towards a new season!Team practice begins

The Queen Bees began team practice today (May 14) in preparation for the 2024-25 season, which begins in October.

The players had been practicing on their own and seemed to want to practice as soon as possible. Head coach Sachiko Ishikawa reflected on the practice and said that she thought they practiced with great enthusiasm today.

After the first day’s practice, we asked head coach Sachiko Ishikawa, new captain Momoko Inoue, and vice captain Honoka Tsuchida about their aspirations for the new season.

The players have been practicing on their own and seemed to want to practice as soon as possible, and I think they were able to practice with great enthusiasm today.

The problem we had last season was that we didn’t have enough stamina in the second game, or we weren’t able to keep up the pressure. This season, we will build up our bodies to be able to fight powerfully until the end, and while taking into consideration the fact that we are one year older and the number of players will be reduced, we will prepare so that we can compete this season without getting injured.

The goal is to win the Future League and get promoted to the Premier League. He will strengthen his mind and body, focusing on building his body from April to June, and then refining his strategic offense and defense.

Captain Momoko Inoue

Now that I have been appointed, I want to do everything I can and fight as a team so that we can be promoted from Absolute Future to Premier within this year.

I don’t think I’m going to act like a captain just because I’m a captain. I want to bring my bright spots to the forefront and bring the team together as captain when it comes to winning. “I hope I can express my true self to the fullest.”

Although we didn’t have any highly talented or big players, there were games where everyone, including the bench and other players, came together and won the game.

Although the number of people has decreased, I think the amount of time I can spend face-to-face with each person will increase considerably. I want to bring out our sense of unity and family even more strongly and fight as one.

I think the leagues will be divided and the team strength will be even. I think each match will be tough, so I want to win each one. Last year, we were only able to win two consecutive games once, so this year we want to fight with the momentum to win all of them.

Vice captain Honoka Tsuchida

Compared to when I joined the team, the atmosphere of the team has changed and the team’s strength has improved.
He has been with the Queen Bees for five years, and as the longest-serving player, he wants to carry on the team’s history and contribute to building the team.
The good thing about Yamanashi Queen Bees is the closeness of the community and the fans and boosters.
I would like to convey my gratitude to the sponsors and everyone who supports me from my seniors to the team I will be taking over.
During their college days, she and captain Momoko Inoue played in the same league as rival schools for four years, and it is reassuring to know that they are now on the same team.

I want to work together with those who have experience as captains and lead the team.
