The Rostock Seawolves’ negative run in the Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) continues. On Wednesday evening, the Mecklenburgers lost to promoted team Rasta Vechta 77:92 (45:45) in the northern duel. Derrick Alston Jr. was the best scorer of the game with 25 points, while Ryan Schwieger scored 18 points for Vechta. While Lower Saxony is still clearly on course for the play-offs as fifth in the table, Rostock can practically tick off the season finale as 14th. There is a very important game for Rostock in two weeks. Then it’s off to the MBC, the Central German Basketball Club, in the basement duel.
