“About eight months have passed since the Mayor was elected and the new Council took office and, as is repeated over time, all the amazing programs that are bandied about left and right remain announcements and in a short time they are torn up and thrown away. We thought and hoped that when during the Christmas period an advertisement was presented by the Municipality to restore, as happens every year, the Comet Star that stands out over the fortress, we hoped it could also illuminate all the so-called electoral promises that were totally disregarded: just look around to understand that the great critical issues that surround the city of Rocca di Papa have not been glossed over in the slightest.
We intend to talk about issues that have existed for a while but cannot be liquidated by maintaining and stating that the blame must always be placed on others: citizens have made the choice to vote for you “hoping” for a change. To date there is nothing positive that can be found, except for having implemented some road works which in our opinion are physiological to a normal institutional activity. We would like to remind you that nothing has been done regarding the demolition of the antennas despite the continuous sentences of the various levels of the Judiciary and which remain in full operation continuing to pollute the entire territory with electromagnetic waves with consequent disastrous effects for the population, in spite of the safety required by current regulations and leaving the enormous profits to the so-called antenna operators.
The funicular (although in our opinion it would have no support for local transport and we are further convinced that the inauguration ribbon will never be cut) saw approximately eighteen million euros committed which could have been used for a series of services that make up the Social Status: Health, School and Transport. Regarding Healthcare, we would like to remind you that we collected over six hundred signatures to have a Health Unit in Rocca di Papa sent to the President of the Lazio Region who holds the delegation for Healthcare (demonstrable with the return receipt card issued by the Rocca di Papa Post Office), several months and we have no response. What about the Albergo Europa which is crumbling, an ‘excellent’ demonstration of abandonment for those who come to visit Rocca di Papa. A total disorganization of municipal services. We would also like to know how illegal construction will be resolved, a now incurable plague, in defiance of all citizens who have taken on years of mortgages making enormous sacrifices to buy a house. On what has been explained and detailed, we expect the so-called “hit if you’re there” from the opposition which today we could define as virtual
