Scissor attack on ex-NBA star?
Former NBA champion Nemanja Bjelica is said to have been threatened in Serbia by former Bundesliga professional Nikola Petkovic and attacked with a sharp object.

According to consistent media reports, former NBA star Nemanja Bjelica was attacked by former Eintracht Frankfurt professional Nikola Petkovic in a shopping center in the Serbian capital Belgrade.
It is unclear what may have been the trigger for the apparent conflict in an arcade in the shopping center.
According to Sport Klub, among others, Bjelica is said to have claimed to have been threatened by Petkovic: “There you are, you Indian! “I will take your family, your children, your wife and your money,” the Serb is quoted as saying by the Eastern European sports channel, using strong words compared to his compatriot.

And further: After Bjelica is said to have kept a cool head, Petkovic (including eleven Bundesliga games for Eintracht Frankfurt between 2009 and 2011) went to a bar and got a pair of scissors. Videos of the alleged scene are also circulating on X.
The 37-year-old then threatened the basketball player again and said: “I will stab you, you p***y, I will wait for you in the parking lot.”
Petkovic denies the allegations
As a result, Petkovic was apparently arrested to be detained for the next 48 hours. At the first hearing he is said to have denied the allegations. A verdict from the local police should follow in the next few days, it said.
Bjelica celebrated the NBA championship with the Golden State Warriors in 2022 before returning to Europe for the 2022/’23 season. The Serb is currently under contract with Red Star Belgrade in his home country, but has not yet played.
