Rising Ticket Prices for Roland-Garros 2024: What Fans Need to Know

This year again, it is clear that the prices of tickets to attend Roland-Garros are increasing, with a significant increase in certain cases.

Let fans of the little yellow ball prepare themselves if they were not necessarily expecting it, ticket prices for the 2024 edition of the Roland-Garros tournament are generally on the rise this year. A simple glance at the price list available on the official website shows that the trend is general.

Even if everything does not increase, and the price is increased by 5 to 10 euros most often, we also sometimes observe a larger differential, which can range from 20 to 45 euros. Particularly for the most prestigious categories offered on the two main courts, Chatrier and Lenglen.

A 1/16th final at 85 euros

General public seats are divided into four categories: from category 3 for the cheapest tickets to the gold category for the most expensive. For the first three matches of the day on the Philippe Chatrier court, the price of tickets varies from 50 to 200 euros per ticket depending on the category and the day of the fortnight (between 45 and 175 euros last year).

For the big match of the “night session” (from May 26 to June 5), you will have to pay between 45 and 190 euros on the center court. The night session on Saturday June 1st risks raising eyebrows, since the entry price to attend this unique poster of the 1/16 finals offered in the evening will this time be 85 euros.

Knowing that the French Tennis Federation takes care to specify that “the prices are given as an indication”, and that, depending on the evolution of demand during the different sales phases, certain categories may no longer be available for sale, it may be that the remaining tickets offered to the general public – the last to be served – may be even higher.

The most unlucky could have to pay no less than 120 euros for the “night session” on Saturday June 1st if category 3 were to be taken by storm in the coming weeks. The most expensive ticket of the fortnight will cost 365 euros to attend the men’s final of the tournament in the gold category, compared to 320 euros last year to attend Novak Djokovic’s demonstration against Casper Ruud.

The youngest penalized?

Regarding the price of places for the additional courts, it remains stable over the first week, while it had increased from 2022 to 2023, going from 34 to 39 euros. But if it is identical this year, at least from May 26 to June 2, the single price increases by five euros to settle at 25 euros for the last week of competition. The impact will also be felt among the youngest spectators, who are not spared by this price increase.

The rates for under 25s will continue to apply during the last week on the annex courts but will also be slightly more expensive, going from 10 to 12 euros. Those under 25 will pay the same price to attend the tournament qualifiers, while the single price will increase from 20 to 25 euros. Above all, only children under the age of four will benefit from free entry, which a priori means that children aged five and six will pay for their entry this year, whereas they were exempt last year.

Opening of sales to the general public on March 13

As is customary, FFT license holders will again have priority this year – behind club presidents – and will benefit from a 10% discount on general public prices from Wednesday February 7. They will have less than a week, until February 12, to make their purchases.

Then it will be the turn of premium sales (from February 28 to March 4), accompanied by catering offers and access to private spaces. Then will come the sale of tickets for people with disabilities (from March 6, at 10 a.m.), before opening to the general public (March 13, at 10 a.m.).
