Real Sociedad loses to Osasuna four days before facing PSG in the Champions League

Saturday afternoon against Osasuna, Imanol Alguacil’s men lost on their lawn after a goal from a corner by the Croatian Ante Budimir (49th), missing their chance to regain the European places in the Spanish Championship standings.

Lack of success

Despite a match dominated from start to finish, Real, too imprecise (19 shots, 3 on target) never found the fault to materialize its domination, nor to return to the mark after the opening score. Robin Le Normand’s teammates, preserved for Wednesday’s clash against Paris, could have equalized if Tafekusa Kubo had not missed his volley (68th), alone and at close range from Sergio Herrera.

With eyes now fixed on the final phase of the Champions League – which it has not played since 2004 – Real does not present itself against the Parisians in the best conditions, with three draws, a defeat and above all no goals scored in his last four matches.
