PSG: Dembélé and Ugarte present at training, Hakimi expected this Tuesday

Resting this Sunday, Luis Enrique’s men returned to the lawns of the PSG Campus this Monday morning in Poissy. After their difficult victory obtained in Strasbourg (2-1), the Parisians are now focused on preparing for their round of 16 of the Coupe de France which will pit them against Stade Brestois this Wednesday evening (9:10 p.m.) at the Parc des Princes. This poster against the Breton club could mark the return of Ousmane Dembélé, preserved during the previous meeting in Alsace due to muscular discomfort in the thigh.

After participating in part of training on Saturday, the 2018 world champion participated in the session this Monday morning. The news is therefore reassuring about number 10 who could reappear in the Parisian group. There is also optimism about Manuel Ugarte, who came off in the 54th minute of the match against Strasbourg due to a blow to the knee. The Uruguayan midfielder trained with the rest of his partners and should test himself again this Tuesday morning during the last session before hosting Brest.

Hernandez and Lees-Melou suspended, Barcola back

Left to rest after his elimination in the round of 16 of the African Cup of Nations with Morocco, Achraf Hakimi was, however, not in Poissy this Monday morning. The Parisian right-back’s return to training is scheduled for tomorrow, as planned.

In terms of absences, we will also note the suspension of Lucas Hernandez for this round of 16 of the Coupe de France due to three yellow cards collected in less than ten matches. A sanction which also applies to Brestois Pierre Lees-Melou. On the other hand, Bradley Barcola is making the opposite journey after serving his suspension match in Strasbourg last Friday.
