New Leadership and Growth in Archery at COLSG

Last December, the archery section of the COLSG (Laigné Olympic Circle – Saint-Gervais) elected its new office.

After 17 years as president, Patrick Couprie handed over to Cécile Bertin: “ I accepted on the condition of being helped by a team. We are one of the biggest clubs in Sarthe, that requires a lot of involvement “. During the season, the club organizes three competitions, two of which are indoors.

Nine members sit on the board of directors and the club has 74 members aged 6 to 80, including a paraplayer. “ There is no age limit for practicing archery, you just need to know how to shoot and adapt the power. » The chicks practice this sport in the form of games with the pleasure of winning points.

For three years, the club has had new premises financed thanks to the Sivom (multi-purpose intercommunal union) of Laigné – Saint-Gervais. Four people supervise the young people, including two former presidents. This season, around thirty archers are competing. Slots are available every evening to come and shoot in addition to Wednesday and Friday in supervised sessions.
