NBA Hands Down Suspensions After Miami Heat vs New Orleans Pelicans Fight

After starring in a rather embarrassing fight in the game between the Miami Heat and the New Orleans Pelicans where up to four players ended up being expelled, the NBA has confirmed the following sanctions for each of its protagonists, reported journalist Shams Charania of the medium The Athletic.

  • Jimmy Butler suspended one game.
  • Naji Marshall suspended for one game.
  • José Alvarado suspended for three games.
  • Thomas Bryant suspended three games.
  • Nikola Jovic suspended one game for leaving the bench.

In that game last Friday, Florida won 106-95 with 23 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists from the aforementioned Butler, and another 23 points, 9 rebounds and 7 basket passes from Zion Williamson.

This coming night the Pelicans will play against Billy Donovan’s Bulls starting at 1:00 a.m. Spanish time, and the Heat will play tomorrow Monday starting at 4:00 a.m. against Mike Brown’s Kings.
