Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s attacking star, has returned to Paris Saint-Germain’s focus, replacing Kylian Mbappe.
Paris Saint-Germain began its moves to sign a new star, after receiving notification from Mbappe of his departure following the expiration of his contract at the end of the current season. More details here
French newspaper L’Equipe reported that Paris Saint-Germain is closely monitoring a number of stars after confirming Mbappe’s departure at the end of the season, led by Mohamed Salah, Manchester City star Bernardo Silva, in addition to Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Paris officials believe that Mbappe’s compensation cannot be replaced by one player, and that comprehensive change is the ideal solution to start the post-French star era.
The report indicated that Mbappe’s departure saves 200 million euros in Paris’s budget, which is enough wealth to reshape the team’s attacking force.
It should be noted that this is not the first time that Salah’s name has been associated with the possibility of moving to Paris Saint-Germain, as media reports have circulated this matter on previous occasions.
Salah (31 years old) renewed his contract with Liverpool in the summer of 2022, to continue with the team until 2025 (the end of next season).
The Egyptian national team captain participated in 27 matches with Liverpool this season in various competitions, during which he scored 18 goals and provided 9 assists.
