According to Marca, the Italian coach would have offered the 2018 Golden Ball to join the White House bench alongside him from next season.
Luka Modric (38) is getting closer to the end. Even if he took second place in the hierarchy of Real Madrid midfielders this year, Carlo Ancelotti remains no less admiring of the latter’s knowledge of the game.
According to Brand, the Italian would have offered him to join his staff next season in order to stay at Real Madrid. But the Croatian believes that his place is still on the field for years to come and would therefore have politely refused his coach’s proposal. Courted by several clubs in the United States as well as in Saudi Arabia, Modric has not yet communicated his decision on his future.
Arriving at Real Madrid in 2012, the native of Zadar won everything with the Merengues. In his trophy cabinet, he counts 5 Champions League, 3 Liga, 5 Spanish Super Cup and 5 UEFA Super Cup.
