During a police traffic stop, a 44-year-old simply continued driving on Blumenstrasse. The officers gave chase.

Solingen. Excitement late Saturday evening on Blumenstrasse: When the police wanted to check a 44-year-old in his car shortly before midnight, he simply drove on towards Kölner Strasse. The chase ended a few hundred meters further along the main path at a wall. The man initially fled on foot.

The escape continued on foot

At the technical vocational college, not far from the scene of the accident, the officers were able to catch the man, a spokeswoman for the Wuppertal police headquarters reported upon request. The man finally allowed himself to be arrested there without resistance.

According to police, the car and driver come from Poland. The man also doesn’t have a driver’s license. Because drug use was suspected, the 44-year-old was taken for a blood test. The police seized the getaway car.
