The man was accused of mistreatment, resistance and insult to a public official. The episode took place when the man went in the home of his ex-partner’s parentswho had decided to end their relationship.
Armed with a baseball bat, he repeatedly hit the front door trying to gain entry. Upon the arrival of the Carabinieri, the man he did not calm his anger and continued to behave aggressively. He insulted and threatened the soldiers, even trying to hit them. The Carabinieri managed to block him with the help of another patrol that intervened on the scene, then proceeded with his arrest.
In the late morning of February 28, 2024, at the request of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Rovigo, the Judge validated the arrest and issued the precautionary measure of the residence ban in the province of Rovigo.
