Local Athletes Shine at Open Tatami Sport in Benalmádena

More than 550 participants were present at the Open Tatami Sport that took place in Benalmádena, organized by the Andalusian Kickboxing Muaythai Federation, FAKM, with the collaboration of the City Council.

The modalities covered in this competition within kickboxing are PointFighting, Light Contact and Kick Light, with the possibility of participating in the Children’s category (8 and 9 years old), Minor Cadets (10, 11 and 12 years old), Senior Cadets (13 to 15 years old), Junior (16 to 18 years old) and Senior (19 to 40 years old).

Three athletes from the Budokan Baena Club Fran Galeote Luque, José Fajardo and Manuel Montero participated in this event. The first two have managed to reach the finals. Thus Fran Galeote achieved gold medals in the Kick light and Light Contact modalities. While José Fajardo lost the Kick Light youth final, settling for a silver medal
