As you know, the Latvian U-19 national team is currently looking for a new head coach, and in this tournament Viktors Mazurs, who previously worked in the coaching staff of the national team, is leading it. The candidate list includes players from eight domestic clubs, as well as teams in Italy, the Czech Republic, Austria and Slovenia.
Already in March, the Latvian U-19 national team will meet the hosts, Switzerland and Ukraine in the Elite round of the 2024 European Championship qualification tournament in North Macedonia. The Latvian national team of this age reached the elite round for the fourth time in history.
