During their first outing, the Eagles were treated to a first quality start from their favorite gunner Osman Gutierrez. Allowing only crumbs during the five innings he pitched, Gutierrez helped his team build a three-run lead. Five relievers then took turns on the mound to secure the 5-1 victory.

In the third game, Jesen Therrien was incredible. He fooled opposing hitters with his fastballs and curves. He had eight swing outs. Our succession was splendid with only one race in three clashes. Our pitching staff looks really improved.”

After their trip to the home of the Miners, the Eagles headed to New York State where they will have to play a series of three games from Tuesday to Thursday against the Boulders. Rusch expects this club to be solid with dangerous hitters.
