The leadership of Votrok found a replacement in Horejš, who last led Jablonec. He is supposed to marry the former Spartan midfielder Vácha.
Kotal would not like to leave the club definitively. When he recovers, he would like to be at Horejš’s hand as a consultant. “First of all, I would like to thank all the fans for supporting me. Unfortunately, recently I have encountered health problems that I have to deal with. Therefore, after an agreement with the club’s management, I decided to end my position as head coach. If the club is interested, then after, I hope, a successful recovery, I could return to work at the club. But everything depends on my state of health, which is decisive for me now,” Kotal said on the club’s website.
“First of all, I would like to thank coach Kotal for his services to Hradec. “Unfortunately, football sometimes has to go by the wayside, now I wish Vašek a speedy recovery, we will all be thinking of him at the club and we look forward to him starting to perform his function as a consultant with the A-team as soon as possible,” responded Votrok’s sports director Jiří Sabou.
Kotal joined Hradec during the season, when he replaced Jozef Weber after the eighth round. However, the team has not completely recovered, it currently remains in the survival group and counts three draws from three matches in the spring.
The new coaches will have their premiere on Saturday in Jablonec. “I value the opportunity to train the A-team of FC Hradec Králové very much. This opportunity is all the more valuable to me because I am taking over the team from Václav Kotal, a coach for whom I have deep respect and it will be an honor to work with him. First of all, I wish him a speedy recovery. After that, we can get to work together,” said Horejš.
