Korea Badminton Association Secures Sponsorship Ahead of Paris Olympics

Korean badminton has gained a strong supporter ahead of the Paris Olympics.

The Korea Badminton Association announced on the 23rd, “We have signed an agreement with Korea Ajinomoto Co., Ltd. and Boryung Healthcare to sponsor the national team.” The agreement ceremony was held on the 22nd at the Oryun Hall of the National Team Athletes’ Village in Jincheon, North Chungcheong Province, with the participation of Chairman Taek-gyu Kim and other executives and employees of the association, CEO and executives Satoshi Ogawa of Korea Ajinomoto Co., Ltd., and Beom-soo Kim, CEO and executives of Boryung Healthcare.

In the future, the association and sponsors plan to cooperate with each other regarding marketing and sponsorship. In addition, the company plans to participate in the association’s competitions and various business promotions.

Ajinomoto Korea Co., Ltd. will provide 10 million won in cash this year and provide fatigue and stamina recovery products (Aminovital Gold and Energy Gel, etc.) to the national team. Boryung Healthcare provides sports tape (BB tape) that can be used for training and games of national team athletes.

Chairman Kim Taek-gyu said, “I am very happy that this agreement provides an opportunity for the national team to perform better through injury prevention and management, condition management, and recovery from fatigue during training and international competitions.” He added, “The association will do its best to support the players and promise once again to achieve good results at the 2024 Paris Olympics in July thanks to the support of all who love and support badminton in Korea.”
