Juraj Slafkovský Makes NHL History with Three-Point Game and Sixth Consecutive Goal

Slovakian hockey forward Juraj Slafkovský had his best scoring night in the NHL. In the duel against Anaheim, he recorded a goal and two assists and could celebrate his first three-point game in an overseas competition. In addition, he scored in the sixth game in a row, equaling the club record among teenagers. In the past, only Doug Wickenheiser was able to win six games in a row.

The 19-year-old winger showed again why he became the number one draft pick in 2022. Slafkovský had a very good evening in his Montreal match against Anaheim.

It started in the middle of regular time, when the Slovakian forward set up Suzuki for Montreal’s second goal. He later assisted the same player on the goal to make it 3:0 and ended his scoring at 47:26 when he used Suzuki’s pass and beat Čech Dostál.

Thanks to a goal and two assists, Slafkovský experienced his most successful game in terms of points in the NHL. In addition, he celebrated a victory with the Canadiens, and also equaled one of the club records. He already scored in the sixth game in a row, which only Doug Wickenheiser managed among teenagers before him.

Slovák’s father was also present at the big moment and the young player was excited about it. “It’s great that he’s here and that he saw it. I can’t wait to see him and discuss this with him.” the Montreal forward said NHL.com.

The Slovak talent has played 53 games so far this year, in which he scored 27 Canadian points for 11 goals and sixteen assists.
