Johan Derksen Criticizes John van ‘t Schip as a Trainer

Johan Derksen is not impressed with John van ‘t Schip as a trainer. According to the regular table guest of Today Inside, FK Bodo/Glimt clearly showed on Thursday evening (2-2) what a good trainer can do with a team.

“You could see from those Norwegians that they had a good trainer. They were not world football players either,” said Derksen, who thought Ajax made a lesser impression in the Johan Cruijff Arena. “I think it’s a bit silly,” he continues about the coach, who worked at FC Twente in the past.

“John van ‘t Schip has never been a trainer. Where he came, things never went better,” he looks back. “These are those trainers who are trainers, but they don’t add anything. And he is an incredibly friendly, kind and decent boy,” Derksen concludes about Maurice Steijn’s successor.
