Rome, 23 February 2024 – Turning point at the Youth League in Fujairah, where today the junior class athletes fought and where the Italians won another 3 medals, just like the U21s yesterday.
Two of these arrived in the kata with the great gold of Miriam Ederar of the Judo Karate Club and the bronze of Gioele Giovagnoni of the Karate Setteville, while the third is a fantastic gold of Federico Supino in the +84 kg of kumite.
Supino, after an impeccable run, beat two Egyptians in the semi-final and final, Hassan El Awad and Omar Metwaly respectively.
Even Miriam Ederar, after having achieved the best result of all four semi-finalists, also got the better of the Egyptian Jana Raafat in the final with the result 42.10 to 38.60.
Finally, Gioele Giovagnoni beat the Canadian Matthew Gruitia 41.10 to 40.50 in his final, thus putting the bronze medal around his neck.
