“The first day of the championship has been very busy, with quite a few emotions on the line, but you have to learn to control them, because the level of your rivals is very good, so you have to keep a cool mind in the face of pressure. These are my first and last Pan American Games as a youth and I am excited to see how the federation organized the event,” he commented.

For his part, Juan San Lorenzo, who competes in the +50 masters, spoke about his first experience competing in an event of such magnitude.

“Just the fact of being here is a great emotion, especially because it is my first time in a Pan American Championship. It is an honor to represent my country, this has been my dream for years and I am satisfied to achieve it at my age. I have been practicing it for more than two years and it has helped me focus on technique, it gives me confidence in the competition,” he explained.

During today’s intense day, the national archers had the support of the parathlete, Ever Lemús, who arrived at the Jorge Jiménez Archery Range of the Merliot Sports Complex, exclusively to send good vibes to the members of the Salvadoran delegation.
