German midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud joins VfB Stuttgart on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion

The 28-year-old midfielder is moving to Stuttgart from Brighton & Hove Albion in the English Premier League on loan. The two-time German national player has signed a contract with VfB Stuttgart until June 30, 2024, after which VfB has a purchase option. Mahmoud Dahoud receives the number 5 shirt at VfB Stuttgart.

Before moving to the Seagulls last summer, Mahmoud Dahoud played for Borussia Dortmund (2017-2023) and Borussia Mönchengladbach (2010-2017) 162 times in the Bundesliga, 30 times in the Champions League and 19 times in the DFB Cup and used eleven times in the Europa League. The U21 European champion scored a total of 13 goals and prepared 33 goals in the competitions.

On April 11, 2015, Mahmoud Dahoud made his Bundesliga debut for Borussia Mönchengladbach at the age of 19. With BVB, the right-footer won the DFB Cup in the 2020/2021 season and the DFL Supercup in the 2019/2020 season.

The 28-year-old midfielder played 14 competitive games for Brighton & Hove Albion this season and assisted one goal.

Mo has already proven his enormous footballing quality in the Bundesliga and internationally. We are sure that he will quickly find his way around us and will therefore be a valuable additional option for our game from now on.”
