Former World Number 1 Criticizes Nadal’s Service: Coaches Respond

There is one aspect in which he hasn’t really improved in two years. I think his service leaves something to be desired…declared Andy Roddick at the beginning of the month.

This statement from the former world number 1 caused a lot of talk. The Spaniard’s two coaches, Martinez Cascales and Juan Carlos Ferrero, even responded rather curtly.

The American reacted to the comments of the main coach of the double Grand Slam winner.

He’s not wrong. It is always easier to observe than to do. I continue to believe that what I said is true, and I also hope that the praise I have given for him and for Carlos, on both sides of my opinion , were presented in the same way. I doubt that is the case. I have nothing but respect, but I fear context is often lost. ”
