Breaking down barriers through sport, the Department of Sports and Physical Culture of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP) in joint work with the Sports Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired of Puebla (ADECIPU) expanded the offer of disciplines adapted for young university students and the general public.

Although the BUAP already had the goalball program, which is a discipline specifically aimed at blind and visually impaired people, they recently reopened the judo workshops for the university community, as well as for children and free category who wanted to develop their skills. skills in this martial art.

But now, with the link that the sports area has achieved with the ADECIPU, there are five disciplines that they can choose to continue with their sports development and with the visibility of activities for people with disabilities, demonstrating that there are no limits to their talent and desire to move forward.

The activities are open to the youth and free categories, in addition to the opening for high school and high school students, so that many more people join the workshops to achieve the dissemination of this type of projects. of inclusion and not only through official channels.

It will be from Monday to Saturday when Ciudad Universitaria receives all interested parties, for example, for those who like soccer, training will take place Monday and Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Bardas Soccer Field; It should be noted that in this case the format is 5-a-side football.

In the case of para-athletics, training will take place on the tartan track of the University Stadium on Tuesdays and Thursdays, also from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

On Monday, Tuesday and Thursday the COMDE Dojo in Ciudad Universitaria will open its doors to those interested in judo and on Saturdays the Aquatic Center will welcome swimming enthusiasts from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. judokas and 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the case of swimmers.

All workshops have the purpose of preparing athletes to seek a place in competitions such as the Grand Prix, which will take place in the month of April, and the Paranationals that will be in November 2024.
