Düsseldorf has reached the last four in the DFB Pokal. In the quarter-finals they beat St.Pauli on Tuesday evening.
The two teams had already met each other last weekend in the German 2nd division, when leader St.Pauli came to win on the field of Düsseldorf.
But Fortuna took revenge on Tuesday by knocking the club from Hamburg out of the cup tournament. After 90 minutes the score was 1-1 after both clubs had converted a penalty.
In extra time, Düsseldorf reached out to the semi-finals after a goal by Tanaka, but in the 121st minute Boukhalfa scored penalties. The visitors still came out on top.
