Fencer Ysaora Thibus was the subject of an anti-doping control on January 14, as part of the Challenge International de Paris, where she won the bronze medal in foil. The international testing agency, acting for the international fencing federation, informed the French federation that the result of sample A had “produced an abnormal analytical result”.

Ysaora Thibus, who is provisionally suspended, requested the analysis of sample B. The florist, who was in Turin with the entire French team competing, informed her federation of “her total incomprehension”, of “his immense surprise” and “his dismay”.
