Dompierre-sur-Besbre. The Dompierroi archers finished in style. ASD archery ended its indoor season in style. During the departmental championship which took place in Yzeure, the Dompierre archers collected no less than three gold medals, two silver and two bronze medals. The club had qualified nine archers for this competition. In U21 women, Morgane Redersdorff became departmental champion. In U21 men, Tiago Silva finished departmental vice-champion. In seniors 3 classic, Dompierrois triple with Patrick Nely who pockets the gold medal, Luc Handous the silver and Claude Provost the bronze. In this same category, Lionel Rouault finished sixth.
In compound arch, Corinne and Bernard Decluse, in senior category 3, are departmental champions. David Silva finished third in seniors 2.
In the recurve team competition, Patrick Nely, Tiago Silva and Claude Provost took the second step of the podium while in the compound arch, Corinne and Bernard Delécluse, associated with David Silva, win the title.
Four Dompierre archers were also qualified to compete in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes League championship, organized in Saint-Étienne this weekend. They bring back two medals: a silver and a bronze. Corinne Decluse in compound S3 is League vice-champion and Patrick Nely in classic S3 is on the third step of the podium. Claude Provost and Luc Handous, in classic S3, finished tenth and eleventh. Great performances for these archers who brilliantly wore the colors of the club.
The indoor season having ended, the Dompierrois Archers will now prepare for the outdoor season with 3D field shooting, shots at 50 and 70 meters.
The club will organize its outdoor competition on Sunday July 7, at the rugby stadium.
