On the 27th, the Japan Takanoren, the Product Safety Association, and the Japan Bat Industry Association held a “New Standard Metal Bat Manufacturing Factory Tour” for the press at Nippon Shaft Co., Ltd.’s Yokohama Factory in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture.


The purpose of the event was to deepen understanding of the new standards for metal bats before the ban on high school baseball games is lifted on March 2nd.

Documents were used to explain the changes in the use of metal bats in high school baseball, the purpose and overview of the new standards, an overview of safety standards, changes from previous standards, and evaluation methods.
