COTIF recognizes the fight for equality

The women of the Spanish Soccer Team saw their fight for equality and justice recognized yesterday with the Good People COTIF Award. A top-level institutional representation demonstrated society’s support for the women of Spain, at a gala attended by the coach, Montse Tomé, and the world champion Enith Salón to receive the award. The Minister of Science, Innovation and Universities, Diana Morant, who represented the Government of Spain, was accompanied by the former Minister of Culture and Sports and recently appointed Secretary of State for Sports, José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes. Also by the Government delegate in the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé; the General Director of Sports of the Generalitat Valenciana, Luis Cervera; the deputy of Culture of the Provincial Council of Valencia, Paco Teruel; the deputy of the Treasury of the Provincial Council of Valencia, Laura Sáez; or the president of the Valencian Football Federation, Salvador Gomar, among others.

According to Minister Morant: «As a society we have a lot to learn from the values ​​of sport that COTIF has recognized and promoted for 40 years. “We live in a time of change, of global and complex challenges that we will only solve if we work hard together and coordinate, as a great team.”
