Chelsea midfielder Connor Gallagher says the side were disappointed not to hold on for the win in a tight game.
But, with the League Cup final against Liverpool up next, the Blues midfielder says the performance was important for the team.
â[Iâm] slightly disappointed because we were winning the game,â he told Sky Sports.
âThey were dominating possession but we had a lot of chances to win the game. We defended well and weâre disappointed to concede late.
âWe had a lot of chances and countered them well â itâs a fair result in the end.
âWe had a chance or two to get the second but they had chances, as well, and the game could have gone either way. Weâll take the point.
âThe lads were brilliant, we were very focused defensively and we saw it through. Weâre happy with the performance.
âI feel like the lads are confident and weâve had a few good performances so we go into the next game in a good place and excited for it.â
