Capula Hosts 3D Archery Tournament Drawing Competitors from Across Mexico

• 150 competitors from 12 cities in the center of the country are expected to attend

Morelia, Michoacán, November 10, 2023. – The community better known as the “Catrina de Barro”, Capula, will host the 3D Archery Tournament that will take place on the 18th and 19th of this month, organized by the Morelia Hunting Shooting Club in coordination with the Municipal Institute of Physical Culture and Sports (Imcufide).

The Morelia City Council led by the President, Alfonso Martínez Alcázar, through IMCUFIDE, joins such a relevant competition that brings together around 150 participants from at least 12 cities in the center of the country, as well as from the interior of the state.

«The objective is to disseminate this sport of archery, in its 3D modality, which is based on a route of 25 real-scale rubber target silhouettes, which are placed on the field. In addition to disseminating Capula and its image of the catrinas, as well as traditions,” highlighted Marco Antonio Villarreal, president of the Morelia Hunting Shooting Club.

In this competition to be held at the Capula 2000 Shooting Range, 150 participants are expected to attend: San Luis Potosí, Querétaro, Guadalajara, Arandas, León, Irapuato, Aguascalientes, Monterrey, Puebla, Toluca, State of Mexico, Uruapan and Morelia.

«On behalf of our general director, Verónica Zamudio Ibarra, I thank you for considering IMCUFIDE as part of the Organizing Committee for the second consecutive year. Tell them that the doors are open here,” said Jorge Díaz Acevedo, operational director of the paramunicipal institute.

The categories that will come into action will be in Compound Bow: Scope, Pulleys with and without Rangefinder, Ladies and Children. As well as in Traditional: Master, Longbow and Traditional A and B, as well as Traditional in Ladies and Children. The registration cost ranges between 500 and 600 pesos.

The awards will be in trophies alluding to the craftsmanship produced in the town for the first three per category.
