Lieshout – The board of Badminton Club Lieshout will be open again on February 23. They will then explain the policy pursued in the past year and unfold the plans for next year. In addition to the financial data, there will also be room for explanations of the results achieved in the competitions in which the association participates. During the meeting, secretary Ria Donkers will also be said goodbye, who is leaving the board after more than 10 years of loyal service.

On Friday, February 23, Badminton Club Lieshout will hold its Annual General Members Meeting again. At this meeting, the association’s board will provide insight into all activities that have been developed last year and provide insight into the policy that has been pursued. They do this on the basis of various reports: reports from the secretariat, from the competition management, from the website, from the finances, from the club magazine ‘De Kijk Op…’, etc. In this way, the board shares the policy with the members with the aim of talking about this together and discussing policy.

For members only
The Annual General Members Meeting is the platform where association members can discuss with the board about the policy to be pursued and the activities to be undertaken. Due to this purpose and its confidential nature, the meeting is only open to members and to the legal representative of a member under the age of 18. This annual meeting starts at 8 p.m. and the place of action is a meeting room in the Village Hall in Lieshout. After the meeting there will be plenty of opportunities to chat over a drink at the bar, to which the board invites all participants in the AGM.

No anniversaries, but farewells
Normally, in addition to the legal obligations, the AGM is used to put celebrations in the spotlight: this year, however, the association has no members who have been members for exactly 25, 40 or 50 years and therefore no one can be put in the spotlight. That will happen with Ria Donkers. She will be thanked for (more than) 10 years of loyal service as secretary on the board of the association. Ria has indicated that she is no longer eligible for re-election, which means her term of office automatically ends. As a replacement, the board nominates Diony Janssen as successor: she has put herself forward as a candidate for the vacant post.
