Azucena Pagny embraces her white hair
It is with this logic that the fifty-year-old recently took part in the podcast Come on I dare, to discuss various subjects particularly linked to the passing of time and femininity. On this occasion, Azucena Pagny opened up about her past as a model, and about the diktat of beauty that was then imposed on her. Very lucid, she explained:
I was a “beauty victim”. That is to say that as I was a model, I was always very attentive to beauty, to the hairs that stick out, to the little pimples, to the hairstyle, to the skin, to the nails… In short, to the details. That for me is being a “beauty victim”, because people don’t care at all about having their nails done, about having their hair done…

Still marked by this era when she attached disproportionate importance to her appearance, according to her, the woman in Florent Pagny’s life chose a radical change: leave her hair white, and stop using colors!
Now I have white hair. That’s a decision made because of a phobia of hairdressers! I don’t like going to the hairdresser at all, and I don’t like having my head touched at all. Before, I did colors, all that… But my hair is black at the base, and with age, doing the color black hardens the face a lot. I quickly became a witch.
To avoid, I started switching to chocolate, dark brown color. Except that to achieve such color, you have to go there every 15 to 20 days, the ends start to turn red… I could no longer be a slave. So I start to leave it, and the silver will suit me well, because it softens the face. My mother and a friend were furious!
The decision of the one who became an artist-painter is nevertheless clearly accepted, and all the more so since Florent Pagny himself has validated it, as has their daughter. Azucena says:
I like it, and I do things for me. As long as I like it, I keep it. My husband and children like it. It’s true that if my husband or my daughter had told me “this is fishy, this isn’t right”, I would have thought three times. I am very sensitive to their judgment.
Very comfortable in her head and in her body at the age of 57, Azecuna Pagny leads a healthy life in every way, and it is this message that she seeks to convey. In this context, hair color is ultimately very anecdotal, and, like a certain Lio for example, she decided to no longer hide it and embrace her white hair! A decision obviously supported by the man in her life.
