Atlanta Hawks Fire Patty Mills, Opening Opportunity for Trent Forrest

The Atlanta Hawks have fired veteran player Patty Mills, sources confirmed to journalist Shams Charania of the outlet The Athletic.

This move will create a gap in the squad led by Quin Snyder to later convert Trent Forrest’s dual contract into a standard one.

Mills landed in the Hawks last summer of 2023 from Oklahoma City after a brief stint with the Houston Rockets.

This season he has only played 19 official games with averages of 2.7 points and 1.1 rebounds in 10 minutes per day. The Australian was in his final year of guaranteed worth almost $7 million.

For his part, the aforementioned Forrest has played 20 games under Snyder with figures of 2.7 points in 11 minutes per night.
