Another defeat for Frigintini Calcio

Another unlucky Sunday for i rossoblù of Frigintini football City of Modicawho play a good match against the vice-leaders City of Avola but two defensive lapses lead to yet another defeat.

Two episodes occurred: the first after 3′ of play in the second half (due to a false bounce of the ball) and Di Dio ready to kick the ball under the crossbar for the guest’s advantage and the second in the 26th minute, the minute in which a indirect free kick to the visiting team inside the Frigintini penalty area.

The rossoblù take a long time to set up while Ruiz is quick to restart the game and puts La Bruna in a position to kick the ball into the unguarded goal (Ruffino was near the point of restarting the game) for the double advantage. At this point the race could be considered headed towards an external success. Said of the two goals that decided the match, the same one saw a first half during which the local rossoblù countered the visiting team’s attempts to break the deadlock, action after action. Many of Frigintini’s crosses into the penalty area were controlled by the defenders, with Ruffino who was not particularly busy, while the locals complained about a penalty kick not awarded due to a (clear) foul on Sangiorgio and a volley by Giurdanella who right at the end of the half he came close to scoring the home advantage. In the second half the two goals and then the attempts by Buscema and his teammates to at least score the winning goal. The visiting goalkeeper denied it following a shot by Davide Calabrese and a crossbar hit by Damiano Buscema in full injury time. 2-0 for the guests at the final whistle of the referee and Frigintini who will prepare the next match with the knowledge that he will not be able to have Gigi Pianese and Wally Arafa.
