Months ago he had received a Mercedes-Benz for his victories in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games (held in 2021 due to the pandemic).
Canoeist Jorge Enríquez also arrived in the United States in March 2022, just two months after receiving, in the same event as Cruz, his luxury vehicle.
So far this year, there are already about a dozen athletes who have left Cuba in an unstoppable bleeding that, until the end of 2023, left a balance of 1,053 escapes in the last ten years.
