This amount could increase further in the future to a maximum of 2.5 million euros through bonuses, Verweij knows. Rijkhoff had already traveled to his birthplace Purmerend pending an agreement and will undergo a medical examination later on Thursday at De Toekomst and the UMC. If that does not yield any details, he will sign a contract for four and a half seasons with Ajax, where he had already played in the youth team for nine years until his departure to Dortmund.
In Dortmund, Rijkhoff still had a contract until mid-2026. Despite his enormous scoring drive, the young Dutchman did not have to count on a chance in the first team.
