FONDI – The Carabinieri of the Fondi Tenenza arrested a 61-year-old citizen resident in the municipality in the province of Latina in the act of committing illegal possession of a weapon, aggravated threat and persecutory acts.
The man, armed with a dog swatter with a red cap, threatened the bartender, a 42-year-old citizen who also lives in Fondi, with death outside a local bar.
The immediate intervention of the soldiers of the local Tenenza and of the Carabinieri Station of Monte San Biagio made it possible to stop the man who, subjected to a personal, vehicular and home search, was found in possession of a dog-deterrent pistol equipped with a red cap, 26 blank cartridges cal. 8, a baseball bat 36 cm long and a nunchaku.
The incident also turned out to be yet another of others never reported by the offended party. The weapons were seized, while the man was placed under house arrest, awaiting validation of the arrest.
