17-Year-Old Camille Sternon Wins Belgian U21 Judo Championship Title

The young judo nugget, Camille Sternon, 17, won the title of Belgian U21 champion in – 57 kg. The judokate from Trois-Ponts fills her trophy cabinet even more.

A new gold medal, another one, and a new Belgian champion title in their pocket. Camille Sternon, 17, has added a new (beautiful) line to her already very extensive list of achievements. La Troipontoise, affiliated with the Andrimont Judo Club, won this Sunday in the final of the Belgian U21 championship in -57 kg, at the Hall de la Préalle, in Herstal, where a week earlier she won the title of champion of Wallonia. A room which visibly succeeds. This Sunday, Camille won twice by ippon during her first two fights, and by waza-ari in the final, an advantage marked 33 seconds from the end of her final. She thus won her first national title in U21, and this when she was only 17 years old, as a reminder. A judo gem that continues to grow and fill its beautiful trophy cabinet.
