“On the basis of the investigation carried out by the anti-crime division, stadium bans for a total duration of 61 years were issued against sixteen supporters, aged 15 to 42, belonging to to both groups of supporters”she said in a press release. “These supporters, including two minors, were guilty before the match and during the match of having thrown blunt objects, including fireworks, into the stands occupied by supporters of the opposing club”adds the text.
A Lazio fan has been handed a maximum ten-year stadium ban for injuring two Roma fans by throwing a high-fire firecracker in their direction.
Another Lazio ultra has now been banned from stadiums for four years for throwing a bottle at AS Roma player Edoardo Bove, who was walking along the pitch after being substituted. Lazio won this derby 1-0.
Both clubs were fined for the behavior of their supporters. Lazio was also sanctioned with a match with several stands closed following monkey cries targeting Roma’s Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku during this derby.
