[배드민턴코리아] On February 15th, the ’13th Board of Directors of the Korea Business Badminton Federation’ and the ‘2024 Regular Delegates General Meeting’ were held on the same day in room 308 of Suseo Tower, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. During the process of presenting, deliberating, and deciding on major agenda items at the Board of Directors and the General Assembly, many stories were exchanged for the development of the Federation.
Among the reported items were a request for full supervisory ex officio directors, consideration of electronic voting targets, and hiring of an executive secretary. In addition, the results of the 2023 project, the balance sheet, the 2024 business plan, and the resulting budget plan were on the agenda.
When using the support fee (encouragement) item in the expenditure details, it was decided to receive the board of directors’ opinions in advance through electronic voting, etc., and to set guidelines for execution under the authority of some of the presidents.
In addition, regarding the hiring of a secretary general, the board of directors all agreed on the need for a secretary general, but since the secretary general who would be dispatched had payment authority, there was a possibility of distribution of responsibility, so it was decided that he would not have payment authority and would only be responsible for practical work.
Newly hired Secretary General Jeong Yong-ju said, “We cannot take a single step forward without the help of the vice presidents and directors, so we ask for your help. “I am ready at any time for the future of the Business Federation to be upgraded to the next level,” he said, pledging to sincerely carry out his duties for the Business Badminton Federation.
Talk about the domestic competition being held this year could not be left out. A total of four competitions are scheduled this year. Miryang Presidential National Business Badminton Championships in April, the newly opened National Business Badminton Championships in Chungju in June, National Federation Badminton Championships in Jeongeup in August, and National Business Badminton Federation Championships in Jangheung in October.
In particular, Chairman Jeon Gyeong-hoon gave generous applause, saying, “The Gyeongnam Miryang Presidential National Business Badminton Championships have been held continuously in Miryang, so it was a hard work for Miryang City Hall coach Seung-mo Son.” Director Seung-mo Son responded by saying, “We have newly remodeled this time, so those who come are welcome. “Please pay attention to see where and how things have changed,” he said.
At the general meeting of delegates, many broader stories were discussed. Seongnam City Hall coach Kim Moon-soo raised awareness of the business federation, saying, “As it is difficult to found a new team, let’s consider ways to support the founding teams.”
