Young NHL Standouts: Gauthier Shines in NCAA, Drysdale Making an Impact with the Ducks

Gauthier has not yet played a single game in the NHL, this season representing the Boston College team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship, where he collected 23 (13+10) points in 17 games.

At this year’s World Junior Championship, Gauthier scored 12 (2+10) points in seven games, was the top scorer of the competition, helped the USA win gold medals and was recognized as the tournament’s best forward.

Drysdale has played in ten matches for the Ducks this season and scored five (1+4) points. This is already the fourth season in the NHL for the young Canadian defenseman. In total, he played 123 matches in the league, in which he scored 45 (8+37) points and a negative efficiency coefficient of -43.

In the 2020 draft, the Ducks selected Drysdale with the sixth overall pick. He won the world junior championship with the Canadian national team that year
