Wesley van Beck is the MVP of the month for December in the easyCredit BBL. The US guard is one of the key figures in the rise of the Niners Chemnitz – and is now being honored with the personal award.

Wesley van Beck showed off big in December with an average of 16.5 points, 4.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds. The 27-year-old is one reason why the surprise team from Chemnitz is confidently at the top of the Bundesliga table.
Thanks to his convincing performances, van Beck has now been voted MVP of the month for December. The American received 31.8 percent of the 7,208 votes. He clearly puts Harald Frey from Telekom Baskets Bonn in second place with 8.2 percent. Behind him, Derrick Alston Jr. from Hakro Merlins Crailsheim came in third with 7.6 percent.

Together with the main and name sponsor easyCredit, the voting for MVP of the month in the easyCredit BBL was redesigned. Since December 1st, fans have been voting fairly and transparently online for their favorite. Fans in the hall and in front of the screens have an equal voice. The players’ individual performance can be reassessed after each match day and a vote can be cast. The feedback so far has been positive.
You can vote again this weekend, when the 15th matchday of the easyCredit BBL is on the program: fans can still vote for the MVP of the month here in January.
