Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio were quick to secure Buchanan’s services in the January transfer window as Manchester City also eye the 24-year-old from Canada, according to reports in Italy.
Born in Brampton, Ontario, on February 8, 1999, Buchanan started playing football at Brampton Youth SC before joining the Mississauga Falcons and Real Colorado.
He also played for Syracuse, Sigma FC and New England, and in January 2022, he moved to Europe for the first time, signing with Belgian side Club Brugge.

His three goals and four assists in 20 appearances this season also show that Buchanan can make a contribution in attack and if he can adapt quickly at San Siro, he may allow the Nerazzurri to sell Denzel Dumfries at the end of the season and become a regular starter on the right wing in 2024-25.
